Self Care for a Grieving Soul
Self care is extremely important, especially during and throughout our grieving process. It is perfectly normal in the beginning to live life moment by moment, hour by hour, day by day, week by week. Some days the miracle is getting out of bed and making coffee. However, grief does change and shift with time.
Things we can do:
- See a Doctor if you are feeling depressed
- Journaling your thoughts, emotions, and dreams throughout your grief journey
- Epsom salt & bubble baths
- Deep Breathing Exercises
- Write letters to your loved one
- Naps, rest when you need to
- Massage, Acupuncture, Shiatsu, Reiki
- Walks in a park away from residential noises and traffic
- Burn aromatherapy candles, add a diffuser to your room with patchouli, cedar wood, lavender or sage oils
